Residential - Sullivan/Orange

  • The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) serves as the primary liaison for all electronic health record activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and effective utilization of the platform across residential programs. This role provides hands-on training, oversight, and quality assurance for documentation and processes, while also acting as a QIDP for designated Program Directors (PDs). The position supports individuals with developmental disabilities by ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to agency/regulatory standards.

    Qualifications: A bachelors degree in psychology, social work, human services, special education or any related discipline. Strong knowledge of the electronic health records platform and experience with implementation and training. 1+ year of experience in a QIDP role or working with I/DD people. Experience with residential billing in the OPWDD system. Valid NYS driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance. Familiarity with regulatory requirements for I/DD services.

  • The Residential Behavioral Health Specialist will provide specialized support to individuals with complex needs residing in residential facilities operated by The Arc Greater Hudson Valley. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for people supported through the development and implementation of strategies to address maladaptive behaviors, providing staff training, and direct intervention when necessary. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and flexibility to work off-hours as needed.

    Qualifications: Minimum of a 4-year degree in Psychology or a related field required. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior experience in OPWDD-certified settings. Experience working with people with complex needs, including dual-diagnosed individuals. Strong knowledge of behavior analysis and support strategies. Day Program - Sullivan/Orange

  • Research and implement meaningful, person-centered community integration opportunities tailored to individual interests and goals. Develop and coordinate inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community. Lead the development of a Day Habilitation newsletter, ensuring representation of all three counties and highlighting achievements, success stories, and creative contributions of individuals. Carry out various creative activities for people supported. Train DSP’s on new and innovative creative activities.

    Qualifications: 3+ years working with people with disabilities, advance education in place of experience in the field acceptable. Basic English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and knowing arithmetic and mathematical concepts with which to adequately and effectively perform job duties and responsibilities. Ability to negotiate, exercise leadership, work with a diverse population, teach new skills, serve individuals, and participate as a team member.   • Assist with and monitor required documentation as required by ACCES-VR and outlined in the Core Rehabilitation Services (CRS 2.0) Guidelines. Prepare and set up new case paperwork. Organize and file appropriate reports, notes, plans and service documentation. Archive closed case files. Faxing and scanning documentation as needed. Nursing - Sullivan/Orange

  • Provide & access medical & nursing services for the people we support residing in the Residential programs in Sullivan/Orange County within the guidelines as set forth by OPWDD. Ensure treatment as prescribed is carried out through both program staff & the nursing department. Routinely complete house checks to ensure that program staff are following each individual's plan of care. Rotating on-call schedule.

  • The Registered Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for frontline staff providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on equipping staff with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and providing hands-on care for medical conditions. The Registered Nurse Educator collaborates with the Training Department and other service departments to design and implement trainings that meet agency needs and ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant service delivery. Trainings are to be provided in Dutchess, Orange and Sullivan Counties.

    Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State. Experience with OPWDD regulatory requirements. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At least one year of experience in training, teaching, or staff development preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance. Completion of all required agency training, including orientation, First Aid/CPR, and any relevant certifications.     Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology with training in assessment techniques and behavioral program development. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
