Day Program - Sullivan/Orange

  • Provide supervision to Day Habilitation Providers and oversight of all group programming and paperwork. The programming needs to be geared toward the skills, needs, and interest of the consumers as well as meet OMRDD regulations.

    Qualifications: At least three years experience working directly with I/DD individuals. Must have High School Diploma or GED, will consider higher education in place of experience in the field.

  • Research and implement meaningful, person-centered community integration opportunities tailored to individual interests and goals. Develop and coordinate inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community. Lead the development of a Day Habilitation newsletter, ensuring representation of all three counties and highlighting achievements, success stories, and creative contributions of individuals. Carry out various creative activities for people supported. Train DSP’s on new and innovative creative activities.

    Qualifications: 3+ years working with people with disabilities, advance education in place of experience in the field acceptable. Basic English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and knowing arithmetic and mathematical concepts with which to adequately and effectively perform job duties and responsibilities. Ability to negotiate, exercise leadership, work with a diverse population, teach new skills, serve individuals, and participate as a team member. Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement instructions and directions. Must be able to travel between sites within the county.

Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement - Sullivan/Orange

  • Responsible for conducting POM interviews with people supported by The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, and to communicate the interview results to support teams.

    Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor degree in Human Services preferred Minimum 5 years of experience working with the I/DD population Driver’s License Successful completion of the POM® workshop within 6 months of hire Successful completion of the POM® trainer’s workshop, including successful completion of the IRR (Inter-rater reliability) within 1 year of hire

  • Assist with and monitor required documentation for the department as required by ACCES-VR and outlined in the Core Rehabilitation Services (CRS 2.0) Guidelines. Prepare and set up new case paperwork as needed and on a timely basis. Organize and file appropriate reports, notes, plans and service documentation ensuring all hardcopies with signatures are stored in case file. Archive closed case files in alphabetical order; by year of service. Faxing and scanning documentation as needed. Answer office phones, screen calls, take messages, and make appointments and type any necessary correspondence. Complete all invoices for services and commodities. Monitor and report weekly on status of plan reviews, units of services and monthly notes across all services, using the EMR. Perform other work-related duties as requested by the supervisor. Maintain valid licenses, including driving license, certifications or any other credentials that are required or necessary to carry out the responsibilities upon and throughout employment.

    Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED and one to two years of secretarial/office management experience required. Basic computer proficiency including experience in Microsoft Office and Excel required. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Must also be able to demonstrate though action and relationships within the organization a commitment to teamwork and the agency mission. Alternate sit/stand or walk at will. Climbing ramps/stairs.   • The Supportive Apartment Counselor provides support, training, assistance and supervision to the people receiving supports in the Supportive Apartment Program.

  • Provide & access medical & nursing services for the people we support residing in the Residential programs in Sullivan/Orange County within the guidelines as set forth by OPWDD. Ensure treatment as prescribed is carried out through both program staff & the nursing department. Routinely complete house checks to ensure that program staff are following each individual's plan of care. Rotating on-call schedule.

Clinic - Sullivan/Orange

  • Responsible for performing counseling, capacity and psychological evaluations and developing and providing clinically appropriate treatment plans to people supported.

    Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology with training in assessment techniques and behavioral program development. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
