The Registered Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for frontline staff providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on equipping staff with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and providing hands-on care for medical conditions. The Registered Nurse Educator collaborates with the Training Department and other service departments to design and implement trainings that meet agency needs and ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant service delivery. Trainings are to be provided in Dutchess, Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State. Experience with OPWDD regulatory requirements. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At least one year of experience in training, teaching, or staff development preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance. Completion of all required agency training, including orientation, First Aid/CPR, and any relevant certifications.
